Detailed Itinerary:
Morning (7:15 AM)
Meet at Nam South Asia Travel at 219 Phạm Ngu Lao, Ben Thanh, and depart for the Mekong Delta. En route, stop for a light breakfast before arriving in My Tho.
- Vinh Trang Pagoda. Discover one of the most famous ancient pagodas in Southern Vietnam. With over a century of history, Vinh Trang Pagoda harmoniously blends Asian and European architecture and is recognized as a national historical relic – a true pride of the Mekong people.
- Mekong River Cruise. Board a motorboat to explore floating fish farms along the Mekong River and learn about local aquaculture. Pass under the impressive Rach Mieu Bridge, which connects Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces.
- Thoi Son Islet (Unicorn Islet). Take a leisurely walk through peaceful village paths, visit lush fruit orchards, enjoy seasonal tropical fruits, and listen to the soulful melodies of Southern folk music – Đờn ca tài tử, a UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage.
- Honey Bee Farm Visit. Experience the local beekeeping tradition, sip on honey lemon tea, and enjoy the warm hospitality of the locals.
- Rowing Boat Adventure. Glide gently along narrow, shaded canals lined with lush nipa palms, soaking in the serene natural beauty of the Mekong Delta – a perfect escape from the bustle of city life.
- Cooking Class at Viet Nhat Tourist Area. Upon arrival, take part in a “Cooking Class – Taste of the Mekong” experience. Midday – Countryside Lunch & Relaxation
Amid the lush greenery of tropical gardens, enjoy a rustic countryside lunch featuring signature Southern Vietnamese dishes and the delightful creations from your cooking class.
After lunch, unwind in a hammock or take a leisurely bicycle ride through peaceful village paths to soak in the charm of the coconut homeland. For something more adventurous, visit a crocodile farm and try your hand at crocodile fishing – a truly unique experience!
Afternoon – The Land of Coconuts, Ben Tre / Return to Saigon. As the afternoon unfolds, embark on a scenic boat trip to Ben Tre, famously known as the “Land of Coconuts,” where endless rows of coconut palms stretch toward the horizon.
Traditional Coconut Candy Workshop. Step into a local coconut candy factory, watch artisans handcraft this sweet specialty, breathe in the irresistible aroma, and sample freshly made treats right on site.
Tan Thach Rice Paper Workshop. Visit a traditional rice paper workshop, where delicate rice sheets are sun-dried on bamboo racks under the golden southern sunlight.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride. Take a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through tranquil village lanes, admire the fruit-laden orchards, and enjoy the warm smiles of the friendly Ben Tre locals.
Around 3:30 PM, return to the pier and refresh yourself with a glass of fresh coconut water – a sweet gift from the land of coconuts.
Then, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
6:00 PM – Arrive in Saigon, bid farewell to your travel companions, and conclude a memorable journey through the Mekong Delta. Until next time!
